j.r <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~ 3 ,/ <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE TG LEVY SPECIAL <br />ASSESSMENTS FOR THE IMPROVE- <br />MENT OF WALTER ROAD FROM <br />GESSNER ROAD `PO MAPLE RIDGE <br />ROAD , I3Y THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />A GuA`l'ER ~~iAIT~ . <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY TI-iE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0~~~' ~lORTH C~L„~uiaTEL , OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the assessment of the cost and expense of <br />improving Walter Road from Gessner Road, to Maple RidYre Road <br />by the Construction of a water main, amounts in the a~;~~regate <br />to <~17 , 500.00 , as reported to this Council by the City En.~ineer, <br />notice of the fi]_~.ng of which assessment has 'oeen .~~iven, as <br />required by law, be and the same is hereby adopted and con- <br />firmed and. that there ~~e and is hereby levied upon all of the <br />lots and land bounding and abutting upon Walter Road from <br />Gessner Road to maple Ridge Road, the several amounts reported <br />as aforesaid, which assessments, together with the descriptions <br />of said lots and lands, are now on file in the office of the <br />Clerk of this Council, and which assessments are at the rate <br />of 3.73 per front foot and are not in excess of the special <br />benefits to said property. <br />Section 2. That the total assessments against each lot or <br />parcel of land shal~_ be payable in cash within thirty days <br />from and after the passage of this ordinance, or at the ovtion <br />of the owners, in ten annual installments with interest at the <br />same rate as shall be borne by the bonds to be issued in antici- <br />pation of the collection of the same. All cash x~ayments shall <br />be made to the Treasurer of said City. All assessments and <br />installments thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of said <br />thirty days shall be certified by the Clerk of this Council to <br />the County Auditor, as provided by law, to be by him ple.ced on <br />the tax duplicate and coll.eeted as other taxes are collPCted. <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force <br />from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED : ~~G ~ G, / ~ ~-/ <br />
