CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />_ ~ ~~~~. <br />ORDINANCE No. 63 -~/~'~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP AND <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE HY DESIGNATING ON THE MAP A <br />NO PARKING ZONE ON A PORTION OF LORAIN ROAD, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has previously (Ordinance <br />'No. 63-108) prohibited parking at all times on a portion of <br />Lorain Road at the intersection of Brookpark Road and Lorain <br />Road where the combiaation of this busy intersection and the <br />entrance and exit to and from the Great Northern Shopping <br />Center created a congestion and a traffic hazard; and <br />WHEREAS, this traffic hazard has not been eliminated <br />by such prior legislation and Council has determined the necessity <br />of extending the no parking none in that area so as to prohibit <br />parking at all times on Lor~.in Road on both sides from Canterbury <br />Road to Whitethorn Avenue. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council. of <br />the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section l: That the traffic control map (Codified <br />Ordinance 305.Oi) be amended by designating thereon that <br />parking is .prohibited at 9.11 times on that portion of Lorain <br />Road which is described as follows:, From Silverdale Avenue <br />west to a point opposite the intersection of Lorain Road and <br />the westerly side of Whtethorn Avenue and on the South side <br />of Lorain Road from a point opposite the easterly Line of <br />Canterbury Road west to Whitethorn Avenue. <br />Section 2: That the traffic control file (God.ified <br />Ordinance No. 305.01) be amended to record the designation of <br />the prohibition of parking at all times on that portion of <br />Lorain Road described in Section 1 hereof and that the Police <br />Department post official sgps or markings in the proper position <br />on Lorain Road. <br />Section 3: That a certified copy of this Ordinance <br />be delivered to the Police Department of the Gity of North Olmsted. <br />Section 4: That this Ordinance is hereby determined to <br />be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the <br />public welfare, peace, health and safety of the City by virtue <br />of the existence of a dangerous condition requiring immediate <br />regulation; V~-IERBFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest <br />period allowedb/yy law. <br />PASSED: ~-- c~- ~~-~. <br />----r -=LT -~~~ 7' <br />ATTEST: <br />-~-- <br />., <br />-,_ <br />..~ <br />` --~-t- ~ -tr_ .~~-~ - ~ _ <br />guise Hali, Clerk o ouncsl ' <br />APPROVED: <br />ul J. ,G~.r~au, 1~4a.gor <br />". <br />ent, <br />o-tem of Council <br />3 <br />1 1 J~1~~, f, t,;: <br />j `l ?~ ~ <br />{ r . <br />f/ <br />
