CITY OF NORTH flLMSTET.? <br />~~ ~ <br />B <br />ORDINANCE No, 63 L.~ <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP <br />AND THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE BY DESIGNATING ON <br />THE MAP A NO PARKING ZONE ON 'THE NORTH SIDE OF <br />LORATN AVENUE BETWEEN CANTERBURY ROAD AND <br />SILVERDALE AVENUE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Lorain Avenue on the North side <br />between Canterbury Road and Silverdale Avenue has become a <br />parking place for trucks and tractor trailers; and <br />WHEREAS, Lorain Avenue at that point is a <br />main traffic artery requrin~; the use of its full width in order <br />to move traffic; and <br />WHEREAS, parking on the North side of Lorain <br />Avenue at this point causes a hazard to others using this high- <br />way. <br />NOW, THI:REF~)RE, BE IT ORT)AI NED by the Council <br />of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the traffic control map (Codified <br />Ordinance 305.01) be amended by designating thereon that parking <br />is prohibited at all times on the North side of Lorain Avenue <br />between Canterbury Road and Silverdale Avenue. <br />Section 2: That the traffic control file (Codified <br />Ordinance 305.02)be amended to record the designation of the <br />prohibition of parking at any time on Lorain Avenue on the North <br />side between Centerbury Road and Silverdale Avenue as set forth <br />in Section 1 hereof and that the Police Department Host official <br />signs or markings in the proper position on said Lorain Avenue. <br />Section 3: That a certified copy of this Ordinance be <br />delivered to the ~'olice Department of the City of North ~Zrnsted. <br />Section 4: That this Ordinance is hereby determined to <br />be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public <br />welfare, peace, health and safety by virtue of the existence of a <br />dangerous condition requiring immediate regulation; WHEREFORE, <br />this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passes e, otherwise, at the earliest'np~iod allowed. by law. <br />1/jam( 1 <br />PASSE': <br />.
