CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 64- ~D <br />BY ~ a . <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT <br />DIRECTOR OF LAW, CIVIL BRANCH, ESTABLISHING THE <br />COMPENSATION TO BE PAID THERETO, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the population of the City of North Olmsted has <br />increased, and with the population increase the legal problems confrorting <br />the City have increased manyfold, and <br />WHEREAS, the Law Director is in need of additional legal <br />help in order to keep current with the legal problems of the City of <br />North Olmsted, and <br />WHEREAS, Council is aware of the situation that now <br />exists and further is aware that as the population continues to increase <br />the legal problems with increase proportionatally. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the position of Assistant Director of Law, <br />Civil Branch, is hereby established at an annual salary of Three Thousand <br />Six Hundred Dollars ($3, 600.00) per year. <br />Section 2. That the Director of Law is hereby authorized <br />to appoint an Assistant Director of Law, Civil Branch, in accordance with <br />Article V, Section 2, of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />peace, safety, and welfare of the City of North Olmsted by virtue of the <br />fact that immediate legal help is needed to assist the Director of Law <br />in keeping current with the legal problems of the City of North Olmsted; <br />WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after <br />its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: ~,~,t1~-e ~ t q ~ <br />g TTEST: <br />~ ,. <br />Margaret .West, Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: <br />~-~~~ ~ <br />Ralph .Christman, Mayor <br />Francis J.
