CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 64-~_ <br />BY <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN EQUALIZATION BOARD <br />CONSISTING OF THREE FREEHOLDERS OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO HEAR OBJECTIONS TO THE <br />ESTIMATED ASSESSMENTS HERETOFORE REPC>RTED <br />TO COUNCIL AND TO EQUALIZE SAME, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 64- 119 Council appointed <br />an Assessment Board consisting of three free holders of the City of North <br />Olmsted for the purpose of assessing the cost of improving the streets by <br />the construction of sanitary sewers thereon, and <br />WHEREAS, there have been objections filed to the assess- <br />ments arrived at by the Assessment Board, and <br />WHEREAS, Council wishes said assessments to be equalized <br />among the various property holders to be benefited by the aforesaid improve- <br />ment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of North Olmsted, Ohio two-thirds of the members of Council <br />concurring: <br />Section 1: That Joseph Regnatz, Jack Phillips and Wilber <br />Grentzer, three disinterested freeholders of said City of North Olmsted <br />be and they are hereby appointed to act as an Equalization Board to hear <br />all objections to the estimated assessments heretofore reported to Council <br />of the cost of improving certain lands and streets in the City of North <br />Olmsted by the construction of sanitary sewers, and to et}ualize the same <br />as to them -seems proper, according to law. Said Board shall meet for <br />the above purpose at City Hall on the day of QCTpf3Er~ 1964, <br />at 8 p. m. , and upon the completion of said Equalization Board shall report <br />such equalized assessment to Council. <br />Section 2: That the Council hereby authorizes the payment <br />by the Director of Finance out of the Sewer Assessment Fund to said <br />Joseph Regnatz, Jack Phillips and Wilber Grentzer, the r~em~bers of the <br />Equalization Board, compensation at the rate of $2.75 per hour. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance is hereby determined to <br />be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare by virtue of the urgent necessity of continuing <br />with the estimated assessments and equalizl~ng same of the cost of installing <br />said sanitary sewers at the earliest possible date; WHEREFORE, this <br />resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, <br />otherewise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />Francis J.
