~~ <br />G ~- r 7h <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION No. 64-163 <br />By: Mr. Caster <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY FOR AN <br />ADDITIONAL TAX LEVY FOR PROVIDING FOR CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENTS AND SITE PURCHASE FOR RECREATIONAL <br />PURPOSES. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, Cuya- <br />hoga County, Ohio, two-thirds of all its members elected thereto concurring: <br />Section 1. It is hereby found and declared that the amount of taxes <br />which may be raised by the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, by <br />levies at the maximum rates within the ten mill limitation on the current tax <br />list and duplicate will be insuff icient to provide an adequate amount for the <br />necessary requirements of this City, and it is necessary to levy a tax in ex- <br />cess of such limitation for capital improvements and site purchase for re- <br />creational purposes at the rate of five-tenths mills (,5 mills) for a period <br />of five years. <br />Section 2. That the question of an additional levy of five-tenths <br />mills (.5 mills) upon the tax list and duplicate for five years beginning <br />with the tax list and duplicate of the current year for recreational purposes, <br />under the provisions of Ohio Revised Code, Section 5705.19, particularly <br />paragraph <h), thereof, be submitted to the electors of the City of North <br />Olmsted at an election to be held on the 3rd day of November, 1964, as <br />authorized 1~ lawy and said election shall be held at the regular places of <br />voting in said City as established by the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, or otherwise, within the times provided by law and shall be <br />conducted, canvassed and certified in the matter provided by law. <br />Section 3. That the form of ballots to be cast at such election <br />shall be as follows: <br />A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. <br />An additional tax for the benefit of the City of North <br />Olmsted for capital improvements and site purchase for <br />recreational purposes at a rate not exceeding five- <br />tenths mills (.5 mills) for each dollar of valuation, <br />which amounts to five cents (5~j for each one hundred <br />dollars of valuation, for five (5) years. <br />FOR THE TAX LEVY <br />AGAINST THE TAX LEVY <br />Section 4. That the Clerk of this Council is hereby authorized <br />and directed to request that notice of said election be given as provided <br />by law. <br />Section 5. That said Clerk is hereby directed to immediately <br />certify a copy of this resolution to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio. <br />Section 6. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welf are of said City, and for the further reason that <br /> <br />
