CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 64--~ <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 of ORDINANCE NO. <br />62-79, ENACTED MAY 15, 1962, AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR <br />OF LAW TO ENGAGE SPECIAL COUNSEL, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY <br />'" WHEREAS, this Council finds that the Director of Law is <br />overburdened in the performance of his duties in his office as the result of <br />expansion of muncipal functions of the City, and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the interest of public health, safety <br />and welfare that he from time to time obtain the services of special counsel <br />as hereinafter provided in order to expedite the City's business, and <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that the One Hundred <br />Dollars ($100.00 per month limitation on special counsel's fees is not <br />adequate , and <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that compensation <br />to the special counsel should be limited to Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) <br />in any one month. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of <br />the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />"Section l: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 62-79, <br />enacted May 15, 1962, reading as follows: <br />"That the Director of Law be and he is hereby <br />authorized to engage the services from time to time <br />of experienced legal counsel with at least five years of <br />practice in the services ~ an Ohio municipality; that such <br />attorney s~ihll perform work of a civil nature as shall be <br />assigned to him by the Director of Law and shall be com- <br />pensated on his bills for such services, approved by the <br />Director of Law, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred <br />Dollars ($100.00) in any month, and at an hourly rate of <br />Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) .) <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />That the Director of Law be and he is hereby <br />w authorized to engage the services from time to time <br />'~` of experienced legal counsel with at least five years of <br />practice in the services of an Ohio municipality; that such <br />attorney shall perform work of a civil nature as shall be <br />assigned to him by the Director of Law and shall be com- <br />pensated on his bills for such services, approved by the <br />Director of Law, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred <br />Dollars ($200.00) in any month, and at an hourly rate of <br />Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) . <br /> <br />
