CITY OF NORTH OI,MSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 64-_.~.~c~-..,d- <br />BY: <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR <br />"SLURRY SEAL", AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Servfce and Public Safety <br />has advised Council that in order to maintain some of the roads in the City <br />of North Olmsted that said roads should be treated with a preparation known <br />as "slurry seal", and <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that the use of the <br />preparation known as "slurry seal" will act as a preventative maintenance <br />and will fill cracks in the asphalt roads and will preserve the service of <br />said roads thereby preserving the roads and enabling it to be maintenance <br />free for a longer period of time. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the Director of Public Service and Public <br />Safety be and he fs hereby authorized to advertise for bids for "slurry seal'" <br />treatment of certain roads within the City of North Olmsted in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications now on file in his office. <br />Section 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare of the City; WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the <br />earliest period allowed by Iaw. <br />PASSED: ~,~~ <br />n. fh~-~-~-c.,~ , `.J. <br />Francis j.
