CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE No. 64-126 <br />By: Mr. West <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $250.00 FOR THE INDEPENDENCE <br />DAY PROGRAM FOR THE RESIDENTS OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Chamber o~ Commerce is <br />sponsoring a patriotic program on July 4, 1964 in observance of <br />the historical, traditional importance of Independence Day; and <br />WHEREAS, said program will be in the open area east of <br />the Great Northern Shopping Center; and <br />WHEREAS, various residents and businesses of this <br />City are participating in the cost of such a program; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council feels that such a program is <br />important and a vital part of the recreation program of the <br />City of North Olmsted for its residents and especially for the <br />children of its residents and has determined that the City <br />should for that reason furnish part of the cost of said program <br />to the extent of $250.00 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section l; That there be appropriated from the <br />General Fund the sum of $250.00 to pay part of the cost of a <br />historical and traditional program in observance of Independence <br />Day as a part of the City's recreational program and that the <br />Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay said sum to the <br />North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce as sponsors of said program. <br />Section 2: That this Ordinance is hereby determined <br />to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the <br />public welf are, peace, health, safety and recreation by virtue of <br />the necessity of appropriating the above funds in time for the <br />City's participating in a program which is imminent; WHEREFORE, <br />phis Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage, otherwise at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: June 16, 1964 <br />Francis J.
