CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED~/ <br />ORDINANCE NO. 64- j(,~ O <br />By <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE <br />A CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF CLEVELAND AND ITS <br />WATER DEPARTMENT FOR THE FURNISHING OF WATER <br />TO THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Cleveland and the City of North Olmsted <br />desire to enter into a contract whereby the City of Cleveland will furnish water <br />to the City of North Olmsted and to its citizens under certain terms and conditions, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Council of the City of North Olmsted has been <br />advised of all the terms and conditions contained in said contract, and <br />WHEREAS, it is Council's decision that the Mayor should enter <br />into a contract with the City of Cleveland for the furnishing of water to the <br />City of North Olmsted, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />to execute a contract with the City of Cleveland, County of Cuyahoga, and <br />State of Ohio for the providing of water to the City of North Olmsted and to the <br />citizens of the City of North Olmsted. Said contract contains all the terms <br />and provisions by virtue of which the City of Cleveland will furnish water to <br />the City of North Olmsted except for the rates to be charged. The contract <br />also contains the provisions for furnishing water to the areas within the city <br />of North Olmsted which do not have water at the present time. <br />Section 2: That this contract is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, necessary for the public peace, health, safety and welfare <br />of the City by virtue of the necessity of executing said contract in order that <br />all areas which do not have city water _at the present time may have same for <br />domestic consumption and for the purposes of fire protection; WHEREFORE, this <br />Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immedk~tely upon its passage, other- <br />wise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: t' ~F~-i <br />~} <br />nv Q~-er.~ ~ ~.J' <br />Francis J.
