CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 64- / <br />BY , ~ ~ <br />A ''SOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE AND S~AFET_ Y TO AI3~TER`.~ISE FOR BIDS FOR A <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL CABLE TO BE INSTALLED TO CONTROL <br />TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON LORAIN ROAD FRAM DOVER ROAD TO <br />BROOKPARK ROAD IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that the area on <br />Lorain Road between Dover Road and Brookpark Road is a highly congested <br />area, and <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is necessary <br />to have a traffic control cable installed on all traffic lights within this <br />area in order that said traffic lights can be controlled according to the amount <br />of traffic using Lorain Road between the aforesaid Dover Road and Brookpark <br />Road. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the Director of Public Service and Safety <br />be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a traffic control cable <br />to be installed to regulate the traffic lights on Lorafn Road between Dover Road <br />and Brookpark Road within the City of North Olmsted, as per the specifications <br />presently on file in his office. <br />Section 2: That this Resolution is hereby determined to <br />be and emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and such emergency exists by virtue of the fact that the <br />traffic cong,~f~~ within the area named creates a hazard to the public safety <br />and welfare of the citizens of North Olmsted; WHEREFORE this Resolution <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon itss passage, otherwise, <br />at the earliest period ajllowed by law. <br />PASSED: l~ ~._ <br />Francis J.
