CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 64- J~o~ <br />BY 1. ~~ <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY TO DIRECT THE CITY ENGINEER <br />TO PREPARE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND COST ESTIMATES <br />FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SIDEWALKS ON SUNDRY STREETS, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio; <br />Section: l: That the Director of Public Service and Public Safety <br />be and he is hereby authorized to direct the City Engineer to prepare the <br />necessary plans, specifications and cost estimates for the construction of <br />concrete sidewalks; that the City Engineer is to be advised that, on streets <br />where sanitary sewers have not yet been installed, he should consider <br />installing the sidewalks on the side opposite to where the sanitary sewers <br />are to be installed; and that the sidewalks are to be installed on the following <br />streets: <br />1. Stearns Road from Olmsted Township to Lorain Road. <br />2. McKenzie Road from Olmsted Township to Lorain Road. <br />3. Kennedy Ridge Read from Butternut Ridge Road to <br />Great Northern Boulevard. <br />4. Columbia Road (west side) from Butternut Ridge to a <br />connection of existing sidewalks in the area of <br />Columbia Road and Mastick Road. <br />5. Columbia Road from Mitchell Drive to Lorain Road <br />(west side) . <br />6. The unsidewalked area on the south side of Lorain <br />Road from a point east of Barton Road Easterly to the <br />Fairview Park line . <br />7. The unsidewalked portions of the south side of <br />Maple Ridge Road east of Walter Road to Clague Road. <br />8. The portions of Coe Avenue north of Elm Road that do <br />not have sidewalks . <br />Section 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservations of the public <br />peace, health, safety and welfare of the City by virtue of the urgent <br />necessity of providing sidewalks to protect pedestrians, particularly school <br /> <br />
