Section 533. U 1 of the North Oln~isted General. <br />Offenses Code is patterned after Ohio Revised Code `L901. 18; and <br />WHEREAS, the 1965 State Legislature has amended the <br />statute to provide that ORC 2901. 18 is now a felony, and <br />WHEREAS, Council now wishes to repeal said ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAI1tiTED by the Council <br />of the City of North Olmsted, State of. Ohio: <br />Section 1: That Section 533. OI of the North Olmsted <br />Codified. Ordinances reading as follows: <br />" 533. O1 U'_VLAWFUL PUNISHMENT OR NEGLECT <br />No person shall torture, torment, or cruelly or unlawfully <br />punish another or willfully and negligently deprive him <br />of necessary food, clothing or shelter. (ORC 2901. lSy" <br />be and the same is hereby repealed. <br />Section 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, health, safety and welfare by virtue of the fact that Section <br />533. O l prior to this an7endment which provides that ORC 2901. 1$ is now <br />a felony-.
