CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 65- BY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 339.03, AS AMENDED IN ORDINANCE NO. 65-159, OF THE NORTH OLMSTED TRAFFIC CODE, ENTITLED, "MAXIMUM WIDTH, HEIGHT AND LENGTH, " AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is to the best interest of the City of North Olmsted tk~at the Traffic Gode be reviewed to eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes as enacted by the 1965 State Legislature. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That Section 339.03, as amended in Ordinance No. 65-159, of the North Olmsted Traffic Gode, reading as follows: "339.03 MAXIMUM WIDTH, HEIGHT AND LENGTH. No veY~icle shall be operated upon the public highways, streets, bridges and culverts within the Municipality, whose dimensions exceed those specified in this section. (a) Width . No such vehicle shall have a width in excess of: (1) One hundred four (104) inches for passenger bus type vehicles operated exclusively within municipal corporations: (2) One hundred thirty-two (132) inches for traction engines; (3} Ninety-six (96) inches, including load, for all other vehicles. (b) Length. No such vehicle shall have a length in excess of: (1} Forth-eight (48) feet for passenger bus type vehicles operated exclusively within municipal corporations; (2) Forty (40) feet for passenger bus type vehicles with three (3) or more axles; (3) Forty (40) feet for the semitrailer of a carnmercial tractor and semitrailer combination, with or without load; (4i Fifty-five (55) feet for the overall length of a commercial tractor and semitrailer combination, with or without load; {5} Sixty {60) feet for any other combination. of vehicles couples together, with or without load; (b) Thirty-five (35) feet for all other vehicles, with or without load. (c) Height. No such vehicle shall have a height in excess of of thirteen (13} feet six (b) inches, with or without load. The length as prescribed by subsection (b) {3} of this section shall be the extreme overall lenght of such semitrailer and shall not include safety devices, refrigeration or heating devices attached to the front of such semitrailer or safety devices or bumpers attached to the rear of such semitrailer.
