s CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 65 - ~ `~~ 8Y ®rca A RESOLUTION TO APPLY TO THE HOUSING AND HOMES FINANCE AIGENCY OF TIME UA1iTED STATES GOVERNMENT FORA 701 COMMUNITY ASSIS'#At~TCE PWJGRAM GRANT IN ORDER TO IX:YELOP A COMP~HENSNE COMMUNITY PLAN FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED WITH THE HELP OF THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE • ANY AND ALL INSTRUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE ABOVE STATED PURPOSE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, it is Council's intention to implement the comprehensive community plan of the City of North Olmsted by developing a master plan to promote the orderly growth of the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of North Olmsted has recommended to Council that the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission is 'the best qualified to assist in the development of the comprehensive oomrnunity plan; and WHEREAS, Council, in order to get aa~sialtaere in the form of federal funds, wishes to apply to the Housing and Homes Finance Agency of the United States Government fora 701 Community Assistance ProgramGrant; and WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission w! 11 assist the City of North Olmsted in applying fora 701 Community Assistance Program Grant; and WHEREAS, under the 701 Community Assistance Program Grant, the United States Government will if approved, famish two-thirds (2/3) of the funds necessary to pay the costs of a comprehensive community plan; and WHEREAS, Council wishes to apply for the 701 Community Assistancx Program Grant and if said grant is approved ~to employ the Cuyahv~ Oounty R~sgional Planning Cornmiasion to develop a comprehensive community plan for the City of North Olmsted . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That the Mayor in ooniunction with the Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission is hereby authorised to apply to the Clio Development DepaRment of the State of Ohio fora 701 Community Assstanoe • Program Grant from the Housing and Homes Finanoe Agency of the Used es Government and is #urther authorized to sign all applications and instrusrrents necessary to apply for the aforesaid grant. Section 2: That the Mayor in the event the City of North Olmsted r~c:eives a 701 Community Assistance Program Grant through the Ohio Dfvel Department of the mate of Ohio and the Housing and Homes Finance Aq~ertcy of the Unit~ti States Government is hereby authorized to employ the Cuyaha~a County Rsglcxtai Planning Commission to develop a comprehensive community plea far the Ctity of NoRh Olmsted and is further authorized to sign any and all ir-strunts necessary to effectuate the employment of the Cuyahoga County Aegionai Planainq Commission for the above stated purpose.
