CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDIAIAI~TCE NO. 65-238 <br />1 <br />~~ r <br />...~ - . a <br />BY ~~ ~'t, . ~' <br />AN QRDtNANCE DECLARING THE TRAFFIC CONGESTION ON <br />BERNS ROAD, NO RTH OLMSTED, OHIO, AS BIING DANGEROUS <br />TO THE SAFETY, HEALTH AND WELFARE OF TIME USERS OF SAID <br />ROAD AND THE RESIDENTS THER£OI~Y, AND BEING EMERGENCY: <br />IN NATURE, REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ACTION BY THIS COUNCIL <br />AND :REQUIRING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND SERVICE <br />~` TO MAKE WHATEVER CORRECTIONS HE QEEMS NECESSARY TO <br />CORRECT THE TRAFFIC PROBLEM WHICH EXISTS AND TO REPORT <br />TO THIS COUNCIL THE BEST SOLUTION TO TH£ PROBLEM, SAID <br />AUTHORITY GRANTED TO THE DI RECTOR OF P`JBLI C SERVICE AN L3 <br />SAFETY, TO BE GRANTED POR A PERIOD OF 90 DAYS FROM. THE <br />EFFECTIVE DATE OI' THIS ORUiNANCE, AND L7ECLARII~3G AN <br />EME'RC~EN CY <br />W:3EREAS, there has been numerous complaints by the residents <br />on Berns Road of the traffic. congestion existing on Berns Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the Iirector of Public Safety and Service has advised <br />this Council that the traffic congestion requires irnrnediate action by this <br />Council and that the traffic congestion is of such a nature .that an immediate <br />solution is not possible; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director. of Publfc Safety and Service has asked this <br />Council for authority fora period of ninet}r (90} days to order to determine the <br />best possible solution to the traffic congestion as set forth. above . <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIN ED by the Council. of .the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Stfction 1: That the. Director of Public Safety and Service is l~ere:~y <br />suthari2ed to mtlke whatever corrections he deems necessary to correct the <br />traffic prr~bi~m which exists on Berns Road and that after a determination cif <br />the bast solution is made he is to .report to this council the various solutions <br />to the traffic prr~blern within a .period of ninety (9U) days in order that Council <br />can determine what corrections are to be made . <br />fiction 2s That this ordinance is determined to be an emergerEcy <br />rrr®~sure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare by virtue of the fact that the safety, health and welfare <br />to the citizens of North Olmsted requires an immediate solution to the traffic <br />pmbiem as it exists:..
