CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />pRD~NANCE No. 65-i96 <br />$y ~M <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE OFFICIAL. FLAG <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, :OHIO. <br />AND DECLARING AN .EMERGENCY <br />WHEI~£AS, Council has desired that the City of North Olmsted <br />have its official flea, and <br />WHEREAS, the year 1965 is the year that the City of North Olmst~rci <br />celebrates its 150th anniversary, and <br />WHEREAS., Council has previously sanctioned a contest to create <br />an official flag for the City of North Olmsted, and <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that the drawing of the flag <br />submitted by Alice L. Limpert, 23810 Maple Ridge, North Olmsted, is the <br />flag most suited for the official flag of the City of North Olmsted, and <br />WHEREAS, .Council now wishes to memoralize their decision to <br />adopt the flag as offered by Alice L. Limpert. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio: <br />Section I; That the City of North Olmsted does hereby officially <br />declare that there will be an official flag for the City of North 01rr-sted. <br />Section 2: That the drawing of the. flag as submitted by Alice L, <br />Limpert shall be decla~d to be the official flag of the City of North Olmsted. <br />. Sectfan 3: That the drawing of the flag as submitted aforesaid <br />shall be used to design and make the official flag of the City, which flag <br />shall fly and be displayed on holidays and official functions of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />Sectican 4: That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the citiaens of <br />North C}lmsted by virtue of the fact that the aforesaid flag is necessary for <br />the North Olmsted Homecoming, which will be celebrated August 27, 28 mand <br />29, 1965. <br />WHEREF'C)RE, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon-its <br />passage and appmued by the h/tahor, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed <br />by law . <br />r~, <br />PASSED: ~~~~ ~~'...~ a <br />~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Francis 7.
