a <br />6 <br />CITY OF NORTH t)LI-~STET1 ORDINANCE NO. 65-_ i~ P~~e 2 <br />339.03 MAXIMUM WIDTH, HEIGHT AND LENGTH. <br />No vehicle shall be operated upon the public highrraYs, strsets, <br />bridles and culverts a-ithin the Municipality, whose dimensions exceed those <br />specified in this section. <br />(a) Wig No such vehicle :hall have a width in excess of: <br />(1j One hundred four (I04) inches for passenger <br />bus type vehicles operated exclusively within <br />municipal corporations; <br />® (2) One hundred thirty-two (132) inches for traction <br />engines; <br />(3) Ninety-six (96) inches, including load, for all <br />other vehicles. <br />(b) Len~th• No such vehicle shall have a length in eaccese of: <br />(1) Forty-eight (48) feet for passenger bus type <br />vehicles operated exclusively within municipal <br />corporations; <br />(2) Forty (40) feet for passenger bus type vehicles <br />with three (3) or more axles; <br />(3) Forty (40) feet for the semitrailer of a commercial <br />tractor and semitrailer combination, with or without <br />load; <br />(4) Fifty-five {55) feet for the overall length of <br />a commercial tractor and semitrailer combination, <br />with or without load; <br />(5) Sixty (60) feet for any other combination of vehicles <br />coupled together, with or without load; <br />(6) Thirty-five (35) feet for all other vehicles, with <br />or without load. <br />(c) Height, No such vehicle shall have a height in excess of <br />of thirteen (13i feet six (6) inches, with or without load. <br />The length as prescribed by subsection (b) {3) of this section <br />shall be the extreme overal length of such semitrailer and shall not include <br />safety devices, refrigeration or heating devices attached to the frorrt of such <br />•emitrailer or safety devices or bumpers attached to the rear of such semi- <br />trailer. In special cases vehicles whose dimensions exceed those prescribed <br />by this section may operated in accordance with rules and regulations promulgat <br />by the Ohio Director of Highways. <br />This section does not apply to fire engines, fire trucks, or othe <br />vehicles or apparatus belonging to any municipal corporation or to the volunteer <br />fire department of any municipal corporation or salvage company organised <br />under the laws of this State or used by such department or company in the <br />discharge of its functions. This section does not apply to vehicles anb pole <br />trailers used in the transportation of wooden and metal poles, nor to the <br />transportation of pipes or well-drilling equipment, nor to farm machinery and <br />' equipment. The owner or operator of any vehicle, machinery or equipment not <br />specifically enumerated in this section but the dimensions of which exceed the <br />dimensions provided by this section, shall when operating the same an the <br />highways and streets of this Municipality comply with the rules and regulations <br />of the A#titi i~Yrector of Highways governing such movement, .which rupee and <br />regulations the Director may adopt and promulgate. Ohio Revised Code <br />Sections 119.01 to 119. 13, inclusive, apply to any rules or regulations <br />adopted under this section or the amendment or rescission thereof, oral any <br />person adversely affected shall have the same right of appeal as provided in <br />- such sections. <br />
