CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 65- / "~' <br />BY <br />O TH OLMSTED <br />AN ORDINANCE Aa.I-~ENDING THEN <br />CCJ'DIFI~T) URDIATANCES sY ESTABLISHING <br />SECTION 529.06 ENTTLEH, " ENTICtG AWAY A <br />CHILD UNDER SI?~4'EEN (16) YEARS OF AGE, <br />AND DECLARING AN EIrIERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the State Legisisture has enacted a <br />provision relating to enticing away a child under sixteen (1 S) years of age, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Police <br />Chief, this Council deems it advisable to enact a provi:ion conf~rrning <br />to the State Statute: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the <br />Council of the City of North Olmsted: <br />Section 1. That the Codified Ordinance of the <br />City of North Olmsted be amended by enacting Section 529. Ob to mead <br />as follows: <br />529.06 Enticing away a child under Sixts~a Years. <br />No Person over the age of eighteen yea~r• shall detain, <br />ls:rd, take, carry or entice away a child under the age of sixteen ye~l-rs, <br />with intent to commit any offense under Ohio R. C. 2903. 11 or C?hio R. C. <br />Chapter 2945. (ORC 2903. 12) <br />Section 2: That this ordinance is determined to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preserration of the <br />public peace, health, safety anal welfare by virtue of the fact that the <br />immediate legislation is needed with respect to enticing away a child <br />under sixteen years of age.
