CITY df NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 65 - '1 ~ f <br />+t BY <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />A CONTRACT WITH THE NORTH OLMSTED BOARD OF <br />EDUCATION FOR THE TRANSFER OF LAND, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Board of Education has agreed to <br />transfer land to the City of North Olmsted for the purpose of building a <br />municipal library, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has agreed to transfer <br />land to the North Olmsted Board of Education in consideration of the land far <br />the North Olmsted Municipal Library, and <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Board of Education has agreed to <br />expend certain sums for the development of the land transferred to it by <br />the City of North Olmsted into a joint recreation and playground a~a, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Education has agreed to set up a joint <br />commission with the Council of the City of North Olmsted for the operation <br />of a joint recreation-playground area. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a <br />contract with the Narth Olmsted Board of Education for the transfer of land <br />from the North Olmsted Board of Education to the City of North Olmsted <br />for the establishment of a municipal library; for the transfer of land from the <br />City of North Olmsted to the North Olmsted Board of Education for the establish- <br />ment of a joint recreation-playground area; for the establishment of a joint <br />recreation-playground committee; and is further authorized to sign all deeds, <br />instruments of conveyance on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, and is <br />further authorized to accept all deeds, easements and instruments of con- <br />veyance on behalf of the City of North Olmsted and to do anything necessary <br />to carry out the terms of the contract which is set forth above. <br />Section 2: This resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emeregency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />peace , health and safety of the said City and for the further reason that the <br />immediate construction of the aforesaid municipal library and joint recre~tion® <br />playground area is necessary in order to prepared for the summer vacation <br />periods of the students of the North Olmsted School System; WHEREFORE, this <br />• Resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage., <br />otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Margaret T.
