cITY of NORTH oLMSTED <br />RESOL.L'TION Nam 65 _ $..~, <br />BY <br />~~ _ <br />A RESOLUTIC3N AUTHORIZII~TG THE MAYOR TO REQUEST THE <br />CHAIRMAN, PERSONNEL BOARD OF REVIEW, STATE OF OHIO <br />TO STUDY AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS AS TO THE PRE- <br />SENT STATUS OF ALL ~.ITY EMPLOYEES WITH RESPECT TO <br />CIVIL SERVICE AND DECI_:~RING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council having been advised by the Law Director that there <br />is doubt as to the Civil SE~rvicP status of many City employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Chairman, a'ersannel Board of Review for the State <br />of Ohio is charged ~~ith the responsibility of all municipalities in Ohia as to <br />Civil Service. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BF_. IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />'North Olmsted, Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed. <br />to request a Civil. Service st!idv as to all city errlployees be made by the Chair- <br />man. Personnel Board of Review fo.r t'1~ State of Ohia. <br />• Sectian 2: That this Resolution is hereby determined to be an emer- <br />gency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare by virtue of the fart that there is presently a dispute as to whether one <br />of the city employees had classified or unclassified status. <br />WHEREFORF~, this Resolution shall take effect and be in force immed- <br />iately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: ~~~.~C~a- ~-~ ~ ~'~~ <br />Francis J.
