s <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORIXNANCE NO. 66- .33~o PAGE 2 <br />In oomputinq length of service for the purpose of making payments of <br />the longevity increments herenabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part- <br />time servicara but such limitation. is only for the purpose of computing longevity <br />inca+~rmants and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employees <br />of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees <br />in either Safety Department. <br />In addition to the regular base salary plus increment end other wad <br />increases, all regular amplc~rees of the Police Department, includirrq +s~ioers, <br />shall, on their original appointment and during the first calendar ya+ar during their <br />appointment, receive $300.00 clothing allowance and shall, during each calender <br />year thereaRer, receive a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and <br />disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Chief of the D!opart. <br />For each full time member of the Police Department (excluding auxiliary <br />police and school guards) , the City of North Olmsted shall pay an amount equal <br />to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Rlue Cross Hospitalization <br />and Medical Mutual premiums of said members of the Police Force, as established <br />by Contract 52Y3 effective the Z2nd day of May, 1965. <br />Section 2: That ordinance No. 65-271 enacted December 7, 1965, <br />and any ordinance or parts of ordinances which are in coact with this <br />ordinance or any prrwision of this ordinance are hereby repealed on t~ date that <br />this ordinance becomes effective . <br />Section 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergepcy <br />measure necessary for the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City <br />by vietue of the immediate necessity of maintaining and increasing the morale <br />and eifectiverress of members of the Safety Department.
