/' ~ <br />CITY OF FORTH BLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 66-221 <br />By ~~~! ~~ <br />GIVING THE CONSI~NT OF TH8 CITY OF NORTH OLI!~TSD' <br />TO CUl'AROGA COUNTY FOR THE IM~'ROVEI~ENT OP DOV$R <br />CENTER ROAD R7 WIDENING NORTH 4F LtTRAIN ROAD TO <br />PROVIDE A LEFT TURN LANE, AND DECLARING AN <br />EId~RGE~CY . <br />Wt~RR,EA,S, the Board of County Coreisaionera has tents- <br />tively agreed tc~ i~rc~ve Hover Center R~1, for approxaately four huttdrr~d <br />(4tb} feet nth of Lorain Road by widening and providing a new asphaltic <br />concrete psvt, and <br />SN3Ave, the City has requested that the road isprovat <br />include the cuttiaR bask of the northeasterly corner bf Dover Center +-nd <br />Lorain Roady and <br />i~tSR1~AS, t~se City has requested that the road iapr t <br />contract include all altsrattone, reiocatiosv or necessary additions to <br />the existing Mater supply az~d ranitazy sewer systees, and <br />County Road. <br />WiIEREAS, Dover Center Road is a City Street and also 8 <br />. NaW, THID~FORE, BE IT ORDAIN$D by the Council of the <br />City of North Ols~rted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That it is declared to be of public .interest <br />that the consent of the City be and such convent is hereby given to the <br />isproves-eat of the abovsmentioned road. <br />Sadtoa 2: It is hereby declared that the im~xov~ent <br />aforevaid is of sufficient public importance to the City and that said <br />City is fiaaacially able to eontribuEe twenty-five percent (25X) of the <br />• cost of the rand itprowsaent, twenty-five (2~X} of the cost of any right- <br />of~ray required (except for the parcel at the northeasterly corner of the <br />intsrsection which will be provided by the City) and the entire cost <br />of nay sanitary newer or water work made necessary by the improvement. <br />~ Section 3: Thin ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency ordinance immediately necessary for the preserve ion of the <br />public peace, health and safety, such emergency existing by reason of the <br />present condition of said road Itnd by reason of the inadequacy of such <br />road to handle existing and anticipated vehicular traffic at the point <br />hereinbefore designated, in consequence whereof great public inconvenience <br />is being suffered and will be suffered and public vehicular traffic en- <br />dss~ered and delayed and for the further reason that it is necessary to <br />proceed at once in order to complete the improvement of said road during <br />the coming year; WHRItElORE, the Council declares an emergency to exist <br />acct that this is an ee~rgency measure which shall be in full force and <br />effect from and immediately after its passage and approval"by the Mayor. <br />Section 4: That the Clerk be, and he is hereby directed <br />to furnish to the Board of County Corsisaioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, <br />a certified copy of this Ordinance ismediately upon the taking effect <br />thereof. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Margaret T.
