CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. •66- ,~/,~ <br />$Y <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 1 OF RESOLUTION <br />NO. 66-180 ENACTED JULY 5, 1966, ENTITLED "A <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF LAW TO <br />SETTLE A LAW SUIT ENTITLED "CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />VS, LEONARD F, HAAG" IN THE ROCKY RIVER MUNICIPAL <br />COURT FOR THE SUM OF $372.31 AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY" , AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 66-180 enacted July 5, 1966, stated that <br />the settlement was in the amount of $372.31; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the correct amount of the settlement is $323.75. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section l: That Section 1 of Ordinance No, 66-180 enacted <br />July 5, 1966, naw reading as follows: <br />"Section 1: Council, having been advised by the Director <br />of Law of the facts involved in the law suit entitled City <br />of North Olmsted vs. Leonard F. Haag, Case #5654 in the <br />Rocky River Municipal Court, and after having been offered <br />for consideration all facts relevant to the above law suit, <br />has decided it is far the best interests of the City to accept <br />the offer of settlement, to-wit: $372.31." <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 1: Council, having been advised by the Director <br />of Law of the facts involved in the law suit entitled City <br />of North Olmsted vs. Leonard F. Haag, Case #5654 in the <br />Rocky River Municipal Court, and after having been offered <br />for consideration all facts relevant to the above law suit, <br />has decided it is for the best interests of the City to accept <br />the offer of settlement, to-wit: $323.75. " <br />Section 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the settlement offer must be accepted <br />immediately as said case is being held in abeyance by the Rocky River Municipal <br />Court.
