a <br />f <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 66- ~ ,'~ ~ PAGE 4 <br /> <br />Notice to comply and Gity charges for work performed <br />Section 14: In the event said city deems it necessary to enter said premise <br />to perform the work described in Section 13 of this ordinance, then the <br />City shall first given written notice by certified mail to said owner, occupant <br />ar other person in charge of said premise, or by posting a copy of said <br />notice on the premises to comply with the requirements of this ordinance <br />within the time specified in said notice. In case of the failure or refusal of <br />such owner, occupant or other person in charge of said premises to comply <br />with said notice and the requirements of this ordinance, then the work required <br />thereby may be done at the expense of the City. The City then shall determine <br />the amount paid for said work and shall ascertain the description of the <br />property on which said work was done. Such amount paid for said work and the <br />description of said property shall be certified to the Auditor and shall be entered <br />upon the tax duplicate , become a lien upon such lands from the date of entry, <br />and shall be collected as other taxes and returned to the City for deposit in <br />the General Fund . In the alternative ,the City may recover the amount of money <br />so expended for said work from the owner, occupant, or other person in charge <br />of said premises, before any court of competent jurisdiction. <br />Fenalty <br />• <br />Section 15: That any person, firm ar corporation violating any of the <br />provisions of this ordinance, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon <br />conviction thereof, fined rat more than 5250.00. Each day of violation shall <br />constitute. a separate offense . <br />Section 16: That Ordinance Nos. 66-83 and 66-104 introduced but <br />not passed are hereby tabled effective with the passage of this ordinance. <br />Section 17: WHEREFORE, this Ordinance is determined to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, <br />• health, safety and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the orderly <br />development of land within the City must be regulated. WHEREFORE, this <br />ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, <br />otherwise, at the earliest per//iod allowed by law. <br />PASSED: tj(y <br />ATTEST <br />Margaret T.
