AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF NORTH OLMSTED CHAPTER 1501 ENTITLED "ADOPTION OF NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION CODE" SECTION 1501.01 BY ADOPTING 1965 EDITION OF THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE AMERICAN INSURANCE ASSOCIATION . W''riEREAS, the legislative committee has recommended to Council that our present Fire Prevention Code be brought up-to-date by adopting the 1965 editie~ of the Fire Prevention Code as recommended by the American Insurance Association; and WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that the adoption of the 1965 edition of the Fire Prevention Code as recommended by the American Insurance Association would be to the best interests of the citizens of North Olmsted. NOW, THEREFORE, be IT ORDAINET3 by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That Chapter 1501 section 1501.01 entitled "NBFU 1960 EDITION ADOPTED" presently reading as follaws: "1501.01 NBFU 1960 EDITION ADOPTED. There is adopted by the City for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explpsion, that certain Cbde known as the Fire Prevention Code recommended by the National Board of Fire Underwriters , being particularly the 19 60 edition thereof and the • whole thereof, except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified @r amended. Not less than three copies of such Code have been and now are filed in the office of the Clerk of Council, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. From the date on which Ordinance 3171, passed November 15, 1960, shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the City.
