CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 66-50 <br />Bx I n wT <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF <br />REAL PROPERTY FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE CITY <br />DEPARTMENTS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended to Council that <br />the City is in need of additional real property on which to construct a new <br />City Departments building, and; <br />WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that it would be to the best <br />interests of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted that real property be <br />purchased to enable the construction of a city departments building. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />• <br /> <br />Section 1: That the Mayor, be and he is hereby authorized to enter <br />into an agreement to purchase the premises known as 5252 Dover Center Road <br />and 5238 Dover Center Road for a price not to exceed Twenty-eight tt~usand <br />and 00/100 ($28, 000.001 Dollars and not to exceed Twenty-five thousand six <br />hundred and 00/200 ($~, 600.00) Dollars, respectively (subject to adjustment <br />for proration of taxes, escrow fees and other closing costs) , such purchase <br />agreements to be in such form as may be approved by the Director of Law. <br />Said parcels of real estate are hereby determined to be necessary for the <br />addition of a new city departments building and the purchase price thereof and <br />all other costs incidental to such purchase shall be paid from the sale of bonds. <br />Section 2: That the Mayor is further authorized to accept the deeds <br />conveying title to such premises to the City and to file them for record. <br />Section 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, safety, health and <br />welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the immediate purchase of said real <br />estate and buildings is necessary fo provide urgently needed space for the <br />construction of city departments building. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest <br />period allowed by/law . <br />PASSED: ~TG, <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Margaret T.
