2. <br />9. For habitually contracting debts which he is <br />unable or unwilling to pay or for refusing without reasonable <br />excuse to discharge his lawful obligations. <br />10. For indecent, profane or harsh language while <br />on duty. <br />Village. <br />11. For disrespect shown to the officials of the <br />12. For neglect of duty. <br />13. For absence without leave. <br />14. For gossiping about 'the affairs of the <br />Department. <br />15. For conduct unbecoming an officer or a <br />gentleman. <br />RULE 3. <br />Each member of the Fire Department shall devote <br />his whole time and attention to the business of the Department <br />and he is expressly prohibited from following any other <br />calling or being employed in any other business. <br />RULE 4. <br />The hours of employment of the Department shall be <br />as follows: <br />(a) The Chief of the Fire Department shall work <br />six days a week, eight hours a day; said .eight hours to' be <br />put in between the hours of 6:00 otclock A.M. and 6 :00 o'clock <br />P. 2ti2 . <br />(b) The regular firemen shall work twenty -four <br />ho"ra on duty and twenty -four hours off. <br />(c) In case of emergency, the Chief and all full <br />time firemen are subject to call. <br />RULE 5. <br />Each member of the Department shall be furnished <br />with a copy of the rules and regulations, which they shall <br />at all times keep in their possession. They shall make <br />themselves familiar with its contents.," <br />i■ <br />
