Ordinance No.- r3y <br />By Mr. •/i ,! cRv_.P <br />AN ORDINANCE E14FLOYING SOLICITOR <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That I. R. Winsper be, and he is hereby <br />employed as legal counsel for the Village of North 01 %sted, <br />Ohio, for a term of two years, commencing on the : , <br />day of January, 1948, and until his successor is a ee- ed <br />and qualified, with those duties and upon the terms and <br />conditions as follows: <br />It shall be the duty of such counsel to attend all <br />meetings of the council of the Village of North Olmsted; <br />prepare all resolutions, ordinances, bonds, notices, <br />contracts, or other official documents and legislation <br />in which the Village may be concerned; to prosecute all <br />proceedings in any courts in which the Village is a party <br />and in the Mayorls Court, civil or criminal, whether <br />the Village be plaintiff or defendant; to act as legal <br />adviser of the Village officials and to furnish to the <br />Village or to such officials legal opinions on such matters <br />as may pertain to the affairs of the Village or to the <br />powers or duties of such officials. <br />Section 2. The compensation of said I. R. Winsper <br />shall be as follows <br />For attendance at regular meetings of Council, advice <br />and legal opinions to the Village officials,the sum of <br />;175.00 for the remainder of January, 1948, and $175.00 <br />per month for each month thereafter,, payable monthly. <br />For services in the preparation of transcripts of <br />proceedings pertaining to the issuance of bonds; for <br />services in the preparation of resolutions, ordinances, <br />notices, certificates, contracts, official documents and <br />legislation; for services in the Mayorts Court as prosecut- <br />ing attorney; for any and all services rendered in behalf <br />of the Village in any and all proceedings in court, either <br />civil or criminal, whether the Village be plaintiff or <br />defendant; for stenographic services; and for all services <br />not herein specifically set forth : - such additional <br />compensation as may be reasonable, to be paid upon bills <br />duly rendered. <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure in that the same provides for the <br />usual operation of a municipal department and is necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of public health, peace, <br />safety and welfare, and provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of three- fourths of all the members of Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force <br />from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />Passed: January , 1948. <br />o�N <br />Mayor <br />
