W <br />Ordinance No. 826 <br />By Mr. Kramer <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO SUPPLEMENT SECTION 216 OF ORDINANCE.NO. 122 PASSED ON.THE FIRST DAY <br />OF SEPTEMBER, 1925, RELATING TO PERMIT FEES, BY THE ENACTMENT OF <br />SUPPLEMENTAL SECTIONS 216-1, 216 -2 and 216 -3; TO AMEND SECTION 216 <br />OF ORDINANCE NO. 122; AND TO REPEAL ORIGINAL SECTIONS 216, 292 and 302 <br />OF ORDINANCE NO. 122.' <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of North Olmsted, <br />State of Ohio:.. <br />Section 1. That Section 216 of Ordinance No. 122 passed on <br />the first day of September, 1925, relating to permit fees, be and the <br />same is hereby supplemented by the enactment of supplemental Sections <br />216-1 216 -2, and 216 -3, which shall read as follows: <br />Section 216-1. REFUND OF PERMIT FEES: <br />Whenever the work for which a permit has been <br />issued has been abandoned and is not to be done, such permit may be re. <br />turned to the Building Commissioner for cancellation and after deduction <br />Of minimum fee is made, the balance of the permit fee, if any, shall be re- <br />funded by the Village Clerk on certificate from the Building Commissioner. <br />Section 216-2. ESTABLISHING COST -UPON WHICH PERMIT FEE IS BASED: <br />Where the permit is based upon the cost of the <br />work done under the permit, such cost shall be the actual cost exclusive of <br />Plumbing, electrical work and other items for which separate permit fees <br />are prescribed, and exclusive of decorative painting, molded or cast plaster <br />decorations, and wall, floor or ceiling finishes intended for comfort or en.. <br />hancement. <br />Section 216-30 SUBMISSION OF ESTIMATES, ETC. <br />The Building Commissioner may at any time after <br />application is filed, up to three months after completion of work, require <br />the submission of authorative estimates or actual cost data.to substantiate <br />the estimated cost stated in application for a permit and the payment of <br />additional fees,when it is demonstrated that the actual cost of the work <br />is•in excess of the estimated cost on which the permit fees were paid. <br />?
