Resolution No. 1047 <br />$y Mr. Stentz <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND C NRK TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT 17ITH TRANSIT ADVERTISING COItiIPANY• <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village <br />of North Olmsted, Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the I,2ayor and Clerk be and <br />they are hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />a contract with Jack S traus,doing business as Transit <br />Advertising Company,'providing for the placing of <br />advertising in the municipal busses, for which the <br />Transit Advertising Company will pay the Village <br />fifteen per cent of the gross income derived from the <br />sale of said advertising, said sum to be payable to <br />the Village of North Olmsted in monthly payments as <br />and when the same are received by said Transit Advertis- <br />ing Company. Said agreement shall contain the provision <br />that if at the end of a six months , period not more <br />than fifty per cent of the advertising space in said <br />busses has been sold and is being used, then the Village <br />shall have the right to cancel the contract upon sixty <br />days+ notice but any advertising-then in-said busses <br />for which the Village has been paid its fifteen per <br />cent shall be allowed to remain in said busses during <br />the term for which said advertising was sold. Said <br />contract shall continue for a period of two years from <br />date thereof provided more than fifty per cent of the <br />advertising space in said busses is sold at the end <br />of the first six monthst period, otherwise the Village <br />shall have the right to cancel the contract. Said <br />contract shall be renewed for an additional period of <br />two years providing the said Transit Advertising Company <br />has carried out the terms of its agreement and that <br />at least seventy -five percent of the space available <br />for advertising in the busses has been filled during <br />the operation of said agreement. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall take effect <br />and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed <br />by law. <br />)er 17, 1939. <br />or <br />
