RESOLUTION N0. <br />BY <br />A RESOLUTION' <br />PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO.THE ELECTORS OF THE VILLAGE OF, <br />NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, OF THE QUESTION OF THE APPROVAL OF ,A CONTRACT <br />FOR THE IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF THE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL AT <br />BEREA., OHIO, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 3411 et seq. AND <br />` SECTIONS 4021, 4022 and 4022 -1 OF THE GENERAL CODE OF OHIO. <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of the'law referred to in <br />the caption hereof several political subdivisions including <br />the Village of North Olmsted have heretofore by agreement provided <br />for increasing and maintaining the facilities.of The.Community <br />Hospital:at Berea, Ohio, to care for the sick and disabled of <br />said subdivisions; and <br />subdivisions, The Community Hospital has tendered t.o said <br />ivisions, including the Village of North Olmsted, a renewal of <br />said agreement on said subject covering the years 1948 to 1952, <br />both inclusive, which said agreement provides among other things <br />in substance: 'that the said hospital shall to the extent of its <br />facilities furnish service free to the inhabitants thereof <br />excepting those who in the judgment of the trustees of said <br />hospital, are,able to pay; that each contracting subdivision during <br />the term thereof.be entitled to have at -least one representative <br />upon the Board of Tru- stees.of the hospital; and that in considers <br />tion. therefor each .subdivision shall cause a tax to be levied <br />for each of the tax years 1948 to 1952, both inclusive, upon each <br />one dollar of -the taxable value of property within the subdivision <br />equal to one mill thereof per tax year and the payment of the <br />proceeds thereof to the Board of Trustees of said hospital to be <br />by it expended for the improvement, maintenance and operation of <br />said Community Hospital in such rr.E nner as in the judgment of its <br />Trustees will best promote the objects of the agreement; and <br />uVHEFXAS, the provisions of the law require that the <br />question of the approval'of said renewal agreement shall be <br />ubmitted to the electors of each subdivision and that the same <br />shall not become effective in such subdivision unless.and until <br />approved by its electors. <br />NOVd, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE .Council of the <br />Village of North Olmsted, State of Ohio; <br />SECTION I. That the question of the approval "of said <br />z <br />renewal agreement be submitted to the electors of the Village of <br />North Olmsted, Cuyahoga' County, Ohio) at the next General <br />election to be held therein, to wit on the 4th day 'of November; <br />1947, at the usual voting places-within said Village of North <br />Olmsted and between, the hours provided by law for holding such <br />general election. <br />SECTION II. That the ballots to be used for said <br />election shall contain in substance the following language <br />"Shall the renewal agreement for the levy o'f an <br />annual tax for five years. of one mill upon each <br />one dollar value of all taxable property, which <br />amounts: to ten cents for each one hundred dollars,` <br />of valuation, for the maintenance and improvement of <br />IL I <br />
