<br />Minutes of a meeting of the Council of the

<br />Village -of North Olmsted,. Ohio.
<br />Present were Clarence J. Oviatt, Mayor, E. Baumgardner,
<br />F. Crider, F.;Hatton, Vdm. H. Kramer, R. Paddock, B. Scott.
<br />The minutes of Jan. 17th and 27th were read and approved.?
<br />In regards to park3ng in front.of Heaiser?s, The Sweet
<br />Shoppe and:Jones Tharket, Frank Heaiser as spokesman i'or
<br />group of inerchants stated that,- they tvould object to.any
<br />change in the present set-up on parkingbecause, first it
<br />would hurt their business, second they are arranging for
<br />a slagged parking'lot'west of the bushnell building, third
<br />removing parking there is not' going to change -any of the
<br />traffic hazards, fourth they.would request that all.trucks
<br />unloading merchandise`do so at the rear of the building,
<br />fifth they.think parking should,be limited to one hour
<br />in front of the building.
<br />Mr. Castle.of south Porter Road obJectedito-"No parking
<br />on the west side - of the ` road."-
<br />Mu'. Scott, Chairman of the Safety Committee stated that
<br />the traffic lights at the center had been re-timed,-but
<br />requested more time on the "walking`light." :
<br />Mr. Bauingardner, chairman of the Transportation Committee
<br />stated thAt they recormnended that Ernie Zoldessy and John
<br />Douglass be appointed Extra-33us Drivers, that night runs
<br />start Feb. 21st, new runs when necessary, and that the revised schedule go into effect April 3rd instead of,
<br />Feb. ' 20th. . , , .. ., . '

<br />Resolution approving the appointment of Ernie Zoldessyas
<br />a?Regular. 13us Driver. Moved and seconded that the above
<br />Resolution be Adopted as read. "Yeas" iiaumgardner, Crider,

<br />Mr. Hatton, chairman of the Planning°Commission reported
<br />that they refused the request of Glenn Limpert to change
<br />the zoning of his property on Clague Road to permit a tin
<br />shop. That they refused the:request of:PAr. Sasso to change
<br />the zoning of his property:at Lorain and Stearns Road.
<br />That they.refused the request of R. C. Kreuger of 26431 °
<br />Lorain Road to use their home for retail candy business.
<br />That they recommended the change of zoning of the Loser
<br />property from residence to retail business.
<br />: Ordinance #799 was introduced by 11r.:Baumgardner. An Ordinance
<br />to amend the Zoning Ordinance"and 2one Map of the Village of
<br />North Olmsted by changing from residence digtrict to retail
<br />business-the property-frontirig on the:north side of Lorain
<br />- Road by extending the'present business frontage east:from
<br />its present tErminus to the:easterly line of-the property
<br />owned by John and Conrad Loser, which is approximately 353
<br />feet east of tYle present east line of business fronta;e ` on the
<br />north siae of Lorain Road east of_Dovar Road.- The above
<br />Ordinance was given its first reading only.
<br />Moved'by lir. Paddock seconded by Tllr. Hattori that the Clerk
