<br />The minutes of Jan. lOth were read and approved. T1fr. Kramer, Chair.nan of the Street ?Comrnittee reported that
<br />' therQ were about 15 places ori South Porter Road without *
<br />= driveway pipes, and also recommended that the Street Dept
<br />try to get rid of the water in the ditches along the road
<br />} by hand vrork..
<br />` Mr. Scott 'Chairman` of the Safety Committee recomr!mended that,
<br />? there be no Parking on the west side of South Porter Road, :
<br />- and that signs be Erected. '. ;
<br />:12oved by PrIr. Baumgardner seconded by Mr. Crider that the Clerk
<br />be authorized:to purchase 25 "No Parking, this side of Street"

<br />The IPayor referred to the Safety Committee and Council, the
<br />matter of retiming the traffic signals at Lorain, Porter ar.d
<br />? Butternut ftidge, also a walking li?,:?zt betvreen Jones store and
<br />the Post Ofi'ice. Also the matter of not permitting parking
<br />3n front of Heisers,, The Sweet Shoppe; and Jones Yarket.
<br />Mr. Baumbaruner, Chairman of the Transportation Committee
<br />reported they recommended a revised schedule effective Feb.
<br />20th , adding new runs, shorter timing between runs, opera-
<br />tion of hourly service at ni"ht betvreen Kamms and County
<br />Line, and reduce books of tickets as follows,- effective
<br />Feb..lst. ,
<br />Zone A- 12 tickets for $3.75
<br />Zone B.- 12 tickets' for 3.25, ;
<br />Zone C- 12 tickets for 2.75
<br />Zone D- 24 tickets for 4.25 - no change
<br />: Ordinance #796 was introduced by tZr. Baumgardner. An Ordinance
<br />amendine section 3 of Ordinance #743 passed Pday 4, 1948
<br />entitled t'An Ordinance fixing the rates of fare for bus
<br />transportation service an the North Olmsted Municipal Bus I,ine.
<br />112oved c;nd seconded that the statutory rule,be suspended and
<br />the Ordinance be read imr:iediately the second and third times
<br />And put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion
<br />was as follows., Bauugardner, Crider, Hatton, Kramer, Paddock,
<br />Scott. Thereupon the Ordinance was read the second and third
<br />times and put upon its passaee and the affirmative vote thereon
<br />was as follows., Baumgardner, Crider,.Hatton, Rramer,,Paddock,
<br />Scott.
<br />Y-r. Hatton Chairman of the Planning Commzission reported that
<br />the request of Vlm. Clarke to have sublots 19 and 20 in the
<br />B. J. Lucey Subdivision, changed from residence to retail
<br />business had been considered and the Planning Comrnission
<br />reco;nmended the change. ,
<br />The Tdlayor referred the matter of securing a nevl dump, salting
<br />and cindering intergections,and drums for deposit of vraste paper;
<br />at Porter and Lorain to the Building and Grounds Committee.
<br />The T,iayor advised that he had conferred vrith Proctor Noyes of the
<br />Re6ional Planning Commission and that Pdr. No es tivas against strip
<br />Zoni.ng; that a: I,2aster Plan could be had for ?1.00 per Capita,
<br />with a minimum of $5000.00 and a maximum of ?6000.00 and vrould
<br />take two to three years-ta make and could be paid for in three '
<br />years at about $2000.00 per year. .
