<br />Present were Clarence J. Oviatt, Mayor, E. Baumgardner, Fred Hatton, Wm. H. Kraner,
<br />Dr. C. B. Leid*s, R. Paddock, B. F. Scott.
<br />The minutes of December 5, 1950 were read and approved.
<br />The Mayor r.,ead a communication from tho County Board of Health, in which they
<br />advised tha,t they woutd cont3nue with us at the same rate as last year until we
<br />had received official noti£ication from the State that we had reached the status
<br />of a city.
<br />Mr. Thomas Lisse made the folloiring recommendations to Counci.l in connection baith
<br />the traffic proble?n at the intersection of Ir?rain, ;Porter and Butternut ftidge
<br />? Ro ads : .
<br />1. Eliminate the traffic signal farthest west
<br />2. Install a 4-face traffic signal, to ha.ng ir_ the center of street
<br />at the intersection of S. Porter and Butternut Ridge Roads. .
<br />3. Erect a safety island in the tria,ngle.
<br />4. Move crosswalk from Jones' Martcet to the island
<br />5. A1:so have crnsswalk frc m the church to Sohio Gas Station.
<br />Resolution #1697 was introduced by Mr. Baumgardner. A Resolution requestino the
<br />Clerk to certify the life of the improvement of Silverdal.e Water Main #1. It
<br />was moved and secbnded that the above Resolution be adopted as read. "Yeaslt

<br />To the Council of the Village of North 0].m,,ted: December 19, 1950
<br />Pursuant to Section 2293-2 of.the;General Code, I hereby certify that
<br />the estimated life of the improvement proposed to be constructed from the
<br />proceeds of the notes authorized by the attached ordinance is ten years, and
<br />I further certify that the maximum maturity permitted by law of the notes
<br />authorized in the attached ordinance is two years from the date of issue
<br />thereof.
<br />The maximum maturity of the bonds contemplated by said ordinance calcu-
<br />lated in accordance with Section 2293-9 of the General Code is ten years.

<br />Ordinance #857 was introduced by Mr. Hatton. An Ordinance to levy special assess- ?
<br />ments for the improvement of Silverdale Road from Lorain Road to the north line ?
<br />of sublot No. 29 by constructing therein a water line. It was moved and seconded r
<br />that the stattitory rule be suspended and the 0rdinance be read immediately the ?
<br />second and third times and put on its passabe. The affim-itive wte on said motion
<br />was as follows: Baum,gardner, Hatton, Kraxner, Lewis, Paddock, Scott. Thereupon the ;
<br />Ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon its passage, and the ?
<br />affirmative vote thereon was as fol].ows: Baumgardner, Hatton, Kraner, Lewis,
<br />Paddock, Scott. s
<br />Resolution #1698 was introduced by Mr. Baumgardner. A Resolut3.on requesting tho
<br />Clerk to certify the life of the improvement of Lucydale Ave. It was mpved and
<br />second.ed that the above Resolution be adopted as read. "Yeas" Baumgardner,, Hatton.,
<br />Kramer, Lewis, Paddock, Scott.

<br />?'' 1. That the estimated life of the property and improvement referred to
<br />in your Resolution of Deceraber 19, 19501 is hereby certified ta be at least
<br />, five year3.
<br />2. The maximum maturity of such bonds calculated in accordance iā¢rith the
<br />provisions of Section 2295-9 of the General Code is five years.
<br />If notes are zssued in anticipation of the issua.nce of such bonds,
<br />maximum matur3ty of such notes is'two ysars.
