<br />MINUTES OF A IIEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF

<br />Present were Clarence J. Oviatt, Mayor, E. Bawmgardner, Fred Hatton, Wm. H.

<br />A commnnication was received from Wm. C. Bracken, Attorney for property owners
<br />" on Mill Koad, requesting the Building Conmi.ssioner to revoke building permit
<br />issued for the Sherwin Williams print shop, The Solicitor advised the Building
<br />Commissioner not to rewke this permit,
<br />Ray Limpert and a group of residents from Root Road, requested that their street '
<br />` be imprnved beyond the present pavement. The Mayor advised that we woul.d try to
<br />gi.ve them some relief. '

<br />$; It was moved and seconded that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to purchase a
<br />rubber matting far the Town Hall,, to be used between the rear entrance and the
<br />; bus office. "Yeas" Hatton, Kramer, Lewis, Paddock, Scott.
<br />A motion was made and seconded commending the Service Department employees
<br />' for their efforts in handling the recent snow storm. "Yeas" Hatton, Kramer,

<br />s assistance in keeping the busses running durin?; the recent blizzardo "Yeas??

<br />The Mayor advised that Coaches #106 and #107 were re3dy for delivery.
<br />It was moved and seconded that the Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids on

<br />? The Mayor advised that on the next contract with the City'of Cleveland, for
<br />{ water,:the proposed rate increa$e, effective May 1, 1951, would be 18.5%, and
<br />in all contracts there wou].d be a uruform sprinkling bano ;
<br />? The Mayor read a communication fmm the Cleveland Society of Professional En-
<br />? gineers in connection with Civilian Defense program. :
<br />? The Mayor appointed'William H. Kramer, as Council representative, to attend:.
<br />? the Annual Meeting of the Corsnnunity Hospital.

<br />Resolution #1694 was introduced by Dr. Lewis. A Resolution authorizing the
<br />Mayor and Clerk to enter into a contract with the County Board of Health for the
<br />?
<br />; year 1951. It was moved_and seconded that the statutory rule be suspendsd and
<br />? the Resolution be read in;mediately the second and third times and put on its
<br />: passage. The affirmative wte on said motion was as follows: Hatton, Kramer,
<br />Lewis, Paddock, Scott. Thereupon the Resolution was read the seconci and
<br />third timeg and put upon its passage, and the affirmative vote thereon was as

<br />` Mayor and Clerk to purchase a cab far the road grader from the Gledhill Road
<br />? Machinery Company, It was moved and seconded that the statutory ru].e be sus-
<br />pended ard the Resolution be read irnediately the second and third times.and put
