<br />Present were Glarence J. Oviatt, Mayor, E. I3awngardner, Fred Hatton, 6Vm. H.
<br />Kranier, R. Paddock, B. F. Scott. Dr. C. B. Lewis was absent.
<br />The minutes of November 7, 1950 were approved as read.
<br />The matter of hiring a guard for the school children at the intersection of
<br />Porter and Lora.in Roads was discussed.
<br />14r. Kramer is now present.
<br />The matter of a storm sewer on Florence Road was discussed, and it vras decided
<br />to have,a petition drat,m and circulated by Mr. Kramer.
<br />The Ehgineer reported on the Stearns Road petition far a water main. He said
<br />that the frontage totalled 6900.34 feet and that 4266.53 feet had been signed or 61.8%.
<br />It was moved and seconded that the I.ayor and Clerk be authorized to purchase a
<br />new portable typewriter for the Bus office. "Yeas" Baumgardner, Hatton, Kramzr,
<br />Paddock, Scott. •
<br />lTr. Bauipgardner.. Chairman of Transportation, suggested a pent house on the bus
<br />garage for the bus office. "
<br />NI.r. Hatton, Chairman of the Ylanning Comtnission, reported that Mr. Barker had re-
<br />quested permission-to erect a lean-to addition to his barn, and that the Planning
<br />Commission had approved this.
<br />It was moved and seconded that the recomnendation of the Planning Comunission be
<br />aocepted. "Yeas" Baum;ardner, Hatton, Kramer, Paddock, Scott.
<br />Mr. Cullitan of i2i11 Road addressed the Council in connection with the Sherwin-
<br />UJilliaans print shop. He wanted to know if there was any way whereby Council could
<br />intervene in connection with halting work on the Sherwin tiiilliams job. The
<br />opinion of the Council was that nothing could be done, inasmuch as a Public Hearing
<br />was held and no objections were filed, and.Sherwin Williams had therefore been
<br />granted their permit to proceed with their print shop.
<br />It was moved and 'seconded that the Alayor and Clerk be authorized to sell 90
<br />feet of ly." copper tubing and 600 feet of 3/4" Galvanized pipe which was no
<br />longer needed for municipal purposes. "Yeas" Baumgardner, Hatton, Kramer, Paddock,
<br />Scott,
<br />Resolution #16$8 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. A Resolution transferrin6 $660.00
<br />from MeKenzie #l.water fund to the General Fund., It was moved and seconded that
<br />the above Resolution be adopted as read. "Yeas" Baumgardner, Hatton, Kramer,
<br />Paddock, Scott. _
<br />Mrs. Reep inquired as to what size crock i,rould be needed to close in ditch to ex- tend the county storm sewer west on Gessner lioad. The matter was referred to the
<br />Engineer.
<br />The Fire Chief requested the purchase of a new Enerson Portable Inhalator.
<br />Resolution #1659 was introduced by I4r. Scott. A Resolution authorizing the Mayur
<br />and Clerk to purchase a new Dnerson Inhalator. It was mpved and seconded that the
<br />above Resolution be adopted as read. "Yeas" Baumbardner., Hatton, Kramer,
<br />Paddock, Scott.
<br />Resolution #1690 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. A Resolution authorizing the
<br />Mayor and Clerk to purchase 250 feet of 12" sewer crock. It was moved and seconded
<br />that the above Resolution be adopted as read. "Yeas" Baumgardner, Hatton,
<br />Kramer, Paddock, Scott. .
<br />NIr. Scott, Chairman of the Safetf Committee, stated that the Safety Cor,uni.ttee
<br />did not recommend a traffic light at the intersection of Mastick and Cla.gue
<br />Roads.
