<br />The minutes of April 16th were read and approved.
<br />In accordance vrith advertisement in Suburban News the
<br />following bids were received for gasoline.
<br />Pocahontas Oil Co ..:................llcents per gallon
<br />Gulf Refg Co ........................1125 cents per gal
<br />Standard 031 Co .....................113 cents per gal
<br />Each bid contained a certified check for yY100:00
<br />Resolution #1085 was introduced by Llr. Tomes. A Resolution
<br />accepting the bid of the Pocahontas Oil Co., and authorizing
<br />the Mayor and Clerk to enter into a contract. Moved by T,Jr.
<br />Tomes seconded bg T1Ir. Oldham that-the statutory rule be sus-
<br />pended and the resolution be read immediately the second and
<br />third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on
<br />said motion tiras as follows, Decker, Fawcett, Oldham, Stearns,
<br />Tomes. Nays - Bidwell. -Thereupon thg resolution was read the
<br />second and third times and put upon its passage and the affirm-
<br />ative vote thereon was as follotivs, Decker, Fawcett, Oldham,
<br />Stearns, Tomes. Nays = Bidwell.
<br />11,oved by Llr. Decker seconded by rdr. Fawcett that the Clerk be
<br />instructcd to have the Citp Water Department repair the hydrant
<br />at the S.W. corner of Dover Center and Lonain Roads. Also
<br />b hydrants at 4130 and 3874 Columbia Road. "Yeas" Bidtivell,
<br />Decker, Fawcett, Oldham, Stearns, Tomes.
<br />Ordinance # 577 svas introduced by 114r. ]3idivell. AtY Ordinance
<br />amending sec. 3, of Ord. 576, passed Apr. 16, 1940. Moved by
<br />Mr. Bidwell, seconded by Mr. Decker that the statutory rule be
<br />suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the second and
<br />third times and put on itg passage. The'affirmative vote on
<br />said motion tiā¢ras as follows, Bidwell, Decker, Fawcett, Oldham,
<br />Stearns, Tomes. Thereupon the ordinance was read the second
<br />and third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative
<br />vote thereon tiras as folloz^rs, Bidwell, Decker, Fazvicett, Oldham,
<br />Stearns, Tomes.

<br />Fire Chief and Building Inspector in rebuilding house at 466 Elm

<br />The follovring i;oneys were received $1450.00 Liquor tax. 010.00 -
<br />cemetery receipts. $1775.00 M. V. L. tax. $3506.41 bus receipts.
