<br />A motion was made bJ Mr. Kramer and seconded by Mr. Schwenk that the minutes of

<br />The Safety-Zervice Airsctor reported that the Board of Control awarded tr.e contract
<br />for a tiJater :nain in Whitehaven Avenue to Plas Construction Coznpany in the amount of
<br />? $13,:43.80.
<br />Resolution #2208 was intrcduced by 14r. Schwen'.t. A Resolution accepting bid for
<br />labor and rsaterial for improvement of whitehaven Avenue from Elmhurst Road to Broy-
<br />bourna Road, by constructing therein a water Ma.j.n. It was mcved and seconded that
<br />the above Resolution be adopted as read. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Decker., Kramer, "

<br />?I The Safety--Servico Director reported that the Board of Control aziarded the contract
<br />for a fence to be installed along the driveway of the Sanitaxy Landfill to the
<br />Ferbert Fence Company in the amount of $1260.Q0. ,

<br />Resolution #2209 was introduced by Mr. Baker. A Resolution authorizir.g wnd direct-
<br />in& the Director of Public Service to enter into a.contra.et for tho purchase and
<br />installa.tion of : fencing st the entrancs to the aunieipal waste landfi].l facility
<br />( on Colur.ibia Road. It was moved and seconded that the Pbove Resolution b3 adoptsd

<br />The Safety-Service Director reported that the Bcard of Control awaxded the contract
<br />for ?the installation of the traffic signa,].s along Brookpark Road to C& S Lighting
<br />Naintenanca Co. in the amount:of $1$$9,00. - '
<br />Resolution #2210 was introduced by Mr. Cridar. A ftesolution author3.zing and direct-
<br />- ing the director of.Public Service to enter into a contract for the installation cf
<br />traffic signals and contollers cn Brookpark Extension in the City of North Olmated,
<br />Ohio. It was moved and seconded that the above Resolution be adopted as read. "Yeas"

<br />A comzrunication was read from the Planning Com'Lission recarnmending to Council that
<br />the Leeland 5ub-Division cf C& K Builders be accepted.

<br />C& K Builders,, Incorporatedp Leeland Subdivision No. 1" for reaord3.ng and dedication.
<br />- It was moved and seconded that the statutory rule bs suspended and the Orciinanco be
<br />read immediately ths second and thixd timss and put on its passage. Tha affirnative"
<br />vote on said notion was as follotirs: Baker, Crider, Decker, Knapp,_Kramer, Neubauer,
<br />? Schwenlc. Thereupon the Orci3.nance was read the second and third times and put upon

<br />rir. Neubauer, Cha,ixman of the Transportation Comunittee, stated they met with the
<br />Safety-Service Director and Mr. Best. It was recomended that two new busses be
<br />purchasedp but no action was taken.• Fifty-three passenger.busses were recommended.
<br />On September'2$th the Transportation Committee met with the Fairview Council 3,nd
<br />businessmen of U:estgate Shopping C,enter to discuss ,the loss in operating the
<br />Westgate busses. After tVra years of operation, lo3s has run about $6,000.00 per ,
<br />year. ' It was suggested that ke have a meetina Vith-the Cleveland Transit System
<br />to see if something ccu].d be worlced out , whereby we might honor;-CTS transfers fxan
<br />: Kamms Corner' The Mayor is going to try to arrange a meeting w3.th lir. Hyde of
<br />Cleveland Transit System.
