<br />Present were Dr. C. B. Lewis., Mayors E. W. Baumgardner, President of Councit,
<br />L. H. Haker, Harry M. Crider, R. L. Deaker, R. G. Kaapp, R. G. Neuba,uer, G. H.
<br />Schwenk. "Mr. Kramer was absent.
<br />A motion`was made:by Mr. Crider a,nd seconded'bg Mr, Baker that the minutea of
<br />MaY 4, 1955 be approved as'read. "Yeas" Bakers Cridsr, Decker, Kna.ppo Neubauert
<br />5chwenk.
<br />The 3aFety-Service Director advised that the Board of Control awarded Ace Conatruc-
<br />? tion Cavnpary the Porter R, #2 water lines in the amount of $330720.00.
<br />Resolution #2142 was introduced by Mr. Neubsuer. A Resolution accepting bid !or
<br />labor and material for improvement of Porter Road traan end of existing main norther-
<br />ly to north city line, byr constructing therein a xater maixi. It Kas moved and
<br />seconded that the statutory rule be suspended and the Resolution be read imQnediate-
<br />ly the aecond aad third t3mea and put on its psssage. The affirm,ative vote on said
<br />motion was as Pollows: Baker, Crider, Decker, Kaapps Neubauer, 3chwenk. Thereupon
<br />the xesolution was read the second and third t3mea and put upon its passage and the
<br />affirmative vote thereon was as Yollowss Baker, Crider, Deckers Knapps Neubauers
<br />Schwenk. :
<br />The 5atety.Service Diractor advised that the Tawn Hall roof needed repair.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Baker and aeconded by Mr. Schwenk that the Satety%Serv3ce
<br />Director be authorized to advertise for bids for repairing the town hall roof.

<br />The Engineer'and Mr, Carl Bower certitied that a sewer and water main had been in-
<br />atalled in Heech Lane Sub-Division.

<br />Beech I.aue Sub-Diviaion Por dedication and recording. It waa moved arid aeconded°

<br />Built Homea for Beech Lana Sub-Division by the General Caaualty Campary of America,

<br />Mr. Barnaw waa`prepared to subanit`a bond in the amount o! ffi40,000000 to cover the
<br />inatallation ol,-pavement anc1 sideywalks i.n the Cedar Point Sub- Division. He`was
<br />intormed by Council that inasmuch as water main has not been inst?eds and only a
<br />portioa of the sewor in:talled, plat`could not be aacepted until ese improvements
<br />were ins or additional bond sut,rmnitted to crnrer their installat3on. '
<br />Mr. Neubauer., Chairman of the Transportation Camnittes made the following reportt
<br />The Bue Manager recanmends that the Westlake run be contirnted

<br />The recaoanendation'is that:the Sunday Butternat Ridge runs be diacontinued;

<br />Increase in fare : to school children attendirig achools in the City of Cleveland -

<br />to children attending schools in our own city. .
<br />It ia recommmended that we:purchaae the Standard Oil tank, pump and tilter tor $523.54.
<br />Three bida were received on the installation of a near 4#000 gallon tank. The laur
<br />bidder xas Kay Smith ot.Elyria, amount $835.00.
<br />A motion xas made by Mr. Neubauer and aeconded by Mr. Baker that the Safety,-Service
<br />Director be authorized to sell bus #54, "Yeas" Bakers Crider, Decker, Knapp,
<br />Neubaners.Schwenk.
