Schwenk. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Krazner, and seconded by Mr. Neubauer that the m3nutes <br />of February 16, 1955 be approved as read. "Yeas" Baker, Crider,* Decker, Kna.pp, <br />Kramer, rleubauer, Schwenk. <br />Mr. Schwenk read a communication froan the Division of State Fire Marshal in re- <br />gard to`a Fire Prevention Seminar to be held March 31 and April l, 1955 at the <br />Southern Hotel, Columbus, Ohio .. <br />Amotion was made by Mr. 5chwenk and seconded by N:r. Kramer that we $end not over <br />two men to attend the Fire Prevention Seminar at Columbus, Ohio and pay their ex- <br />penses. "Yeas" Baker., Crider, Decker, Knapp, Kramer; Neubauer, Schwenk. <br />Mr. Knapp stated that Columbia Road, north:of Lorain, which had recently been re- <br />surfscod, was full of big holes and getting in bad condition, and that Westchester , <br />Drive needed attent3on. Resolution #2097 was introduced by Mr. Baker. '- Resolution of appreciation =in:. cannec- <br />tion with paasage` of 3-mill levy. It ti,ras moved and seconded that the above Reso- <br />lution be adopted as read. '"Yeag" Baker.* Crider, Decker,, Knapp, Kramer, Neubauer, <br />., , .. <br />Schwenk, <br />The Mayor'stated that Mrs. Janet Morse had moved out of town, and to fill out the <br />term of Mrs. Morse and Mrs. Ruth Kahler., he appointed Mrs. Helmut Thiede to the <br />Recreatiori Commissions, as Secretary. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Neubauer and seconded by Air."Kramer that the above appoint- <br />ment be approved. "Yeas" Baker, Crider,`Decker, Kna.pp, Kramer, Neubauar,, Schwenk.. <br />The Mayor read a letter of invitation fran the Street Tree & Utility Conference, <br />regarding meetings to be held on March 3rd and"4th at Wade..Park Manor. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Neubauer, and seconded by Mr. Decker that Building <br />Comrnissioner, F. L. Cridero attend the above meeting, and that his expenses be <br />paid, "Yeas" Baker,, Crider, Decker, Knapp, Kraraer., Neubauer, Schwenk. <br />Ths Mayor stated that he had received numerous complaints on dog nuisances. <br />The Chief of Police stated that John Robertsan of Avon Lalce, Ohi.o owms a truck <br />equipped with cages, and that he would cover all streets in North Olmsted one dsy <br />a week,, round3.ng up stray dogs, ta1lJmg caxe of all complaints,, issuing suaunonn and . <br />appearing in court, for 0100.00 a month. - <br />_ ? . <br />Ordinance #2098 was introduced by Mr. Schwenk. An Ordinance creating the position <br />of Dog jJaaxden and Yixing crnnpensation therefor. It was moved and seconded that the <br />statutory rule be suspeneded and the Ordinance be-read°in¢aediately the second and <br />third times and put"on its passage, The'affixmative vote`on`said motion was as <br />follows;; Baker, Crider, Decker, Knapp, Kraaer, Neubauer, Schwenk. Thereupon the <br />Ordina,nce was read the second and third times and put upon its passate and the <br />affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Baker, Crider,9 Decker, Knapp, Kramer, <br />Neubauer, Schwenk. <br />Z'he Eng.ineer stated that it would take 834 feet of 24" crock and $34 Yeet of 15" <br />'crock, total estimated cost of crock on7,y $4170.C0P if we were to use the cut <br />` owned by the Clevela,nd Electric I1lwninating Canpany for the sanitary Iand?fill. <br />A notion was made by Mr. Neubauer and seconded by t2r.
