<br />Mr. Schwenk, Chaizman of the Safety Comittee, reported that they had a meeting with
<br />the Satety-Service Director, at which time they discussed the Columbia., Mastickp
<br />Kenned3r Ridge intersection. The camnittee felt that probably a light at the inter-
<br />section of Columbia'and Kennedy 4idge, which would flash red at the same time as the
<br />one at Mastick and Columbia would be helpful. Iie'also stated that a sign had been
<br />Posted whieh gives motorists the right to stop and then proceed oa Colvmbia Road
<br />with caution on either red or green. He atated that they also discussed radar for
<br />the.Police Department.,and were inclined to recommend its, but iri view of the failure
<br />oY the 3-ni11 levy, this might change the picture, , .
<br />Mr. Neubauer., Chairman of the IItilitiee Comnittee.,`stated that he had a request for a
<br />street light at the:intersection of Westchester arid Clague Roadss, and he thought the
<br />light just south of the intersection`could be moved to the intersection. He'explained
<br />about the`assessing of street lights, and the matter was referred to the solicitor. '
<br />The Solicitor stated that the claim of Robert J. Wolf aould be settled for $100.00.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Schwenk and seconded by Hr.-Baker that the Solicitor be author-
<br />ized to settle the Aobert'J. Wolt case for $100.00.. "Yeas" Bakers, Criders, Decker,

<br />Mr• Knapp complained about the operation of the walk light at Columbia and Lorain
<br />&oads, The matter was'referred to the Safety Comnittee for further study.
<br />Mr. Crider read the health report for the month of September.
<br />The Mayor reported that he was in receipt of a copy of the contract awarded by the
<br />state of Ohio to The Horvitz Company for the construction oi Brookpark Road.

<br />cipation of the issuing of bonds in anticipation of the collection of special assesa-
