<br />MINUTES OF AN ADJOURIVED MEE'1'ING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />NORTH OIMSTED, OHIO
<br />Present were E. W. Baumgardner, President of Council, L. H. Baker, Harry M. Crider,
<br />R, L, Decker, R. G. Knapp, William H. Kramer, Ralph Neubauer, G. H. Schwenk.
<br />Dr. C. B. I,ewis, Mayor, was absent. The meeting was called to order by President of Council E. W. Baumgardner. The
<br />president arinounced that Mayor Charles B. Lewis was out of the City and State due
<br />to the death of his Mother at Grove City, Pennsylvania, whereupon Ralph G.
<br />Neubauer became President pro tem and E. W. Bawngardner became Acting Mayor.
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Schwenk and seconded by Mr. Baker that the Safety- Service
<br />Director be asked to notify the Civil Service Commission in writing to certify two
<br />fireznen, "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Decker, Knapps Kramer, Schwenk.
<br />Ordinance #2033 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. An emergency ordinance enacted by
<br />the City of North Ol,msted Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in the matter of the improvement of
<br />State Route 252, kno*an locally as Columbia Road, under the supervision of the
<br />Director of HigYiways. It was moved and seconded that the statutory rule be.suspended
<br />and the Ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and put on its
<br />Knasage. The affixma,tive vote on said motion was as Yollows; Bakers Crider, Decker,
<br />pp, Kramer, Schwenk, Thereupon the Ordinancs was read the second and third
<br />t?es and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows:
<br />Baker, Criderp Deckero Kna.pp, Kramer, Schwenk.
<br />Resolution #2034 was introduced by Mr. Baker. A Resolution adopting plans, pro-
<br />P°sing to cooperate and requesting the 8tate Highway Director to extend Brookpark
<br />Road from the westerly corporation line of Parkview Village to State Route No. 10.,
<br />1?110wn locally as Lorain Road. It was moved and seconded that the atatutory rule be
<br />$u9pended and the Resolution be read i=ediately the second and third t3mes and put
<br />on its passage. The affirnative vote on said motion was as follows: Bakers Cridero
<br />Decker, Knapp, Kramers Schwenk, 'Thereupon the Resolution was read the second snd
<br />third times a,rid put upon its passage and the a2'fiz7native vote thereon was as iolloVrs:
<br />Baker., Crider, Deckers Knapp, Kramer, Schwenk. ,
<br />Resolution #2035 was introduced by Mr. Schwenk. A Resolution of Sympathy (Dr. Lewis).
<br />xt was aoved and seconded that the above Resolution be adopted as read. "Yeaa"

<br />Reaolution #2036 was introduced by Mr. Crider. A Resolution expressing appreciation
<br />for the services of William Kahler. It was moved and seconded that the above Resolu-
<br />t3on be adopted as read. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Deckers Knapp, Kramer, Schwenk.
