<br />The meeting Vras held iri the Auditorium of the North Olmste@ High School.
<br />Present were Dr. C. B. Lewis, rRayor, E. W. Baumgardner, President of Council,
<br />L. H. Baker, Harry 11. Crider, R. L. Decker, :^lilliam H. Kramer, Bruce MacDonald,
<br />R. G. Pleubauer, G. H. Schwenk.
<br />Also present were F. G. Kitson, Solicitor, James F. Votava, Safety-Service Director, Everett Dean, Engineer, E. M. Christman, Clerk.
<br />A motion was ma,de by 14r. Kramer and seconded by Mr. Neubauer that the ttunutes
<br />of March 5, 1957 be approved as corrected. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer,
<br />Ma,cDonald, Neubauer, Schwenk.
<br />A motion was raa,de by 14r. Baker a.nd seconded bf Pdr. Crider that the Clerk be per-
<br />mitted to use a tape recorder for reading Ordina.nce #2445. "Yeas" Baker, Crider,
<br />Decker, Kraner, MacDonald, Neubauer, Schwenk.
<br />A Public Hearing was then held on Ordinance #2445 in regard to a change in zoning.
<br />The attorney for the North Olmsted Residents' Association requested that the
<br />Hearing on Lioht Industry be held before Ordinance #?z445 was read the third and
<br />final rea,din'g.
<br />The Solicitor tias requested to render an opinion on it, and ruled that the
<br />Ordinar.ce should be read before the Public Hear?n? could be held..
<br />Ordinance #2445 was biven its third reading.
<br />The Residents' Association again requested that action on the Ordinance be delayed
<br />` for tr.irty days. rir. Kitson ruled that the Council would have to vote for or
<br />? against, or table the ordinance.

<br />? A comnvnication was read from the Kiiianis Club stating that a vote Nvas taken at
<br />? their meetin ;-- 1+3 favored light industry, 3 voted "no!', 4 abstained from
<br />? voting.

<br />? A petition signed by 971 residents of North Olmsted was received agreeing- ttizth
<br />Art,icles 11 and 12 of Ordinance #2145 regul.ating Lit;ht Industry.
<br />Another petition, signed bf 561 residents, tivas received protesting against any
<br />legislation to change the 'Loning Ordinance from a sinole dwelling district to a
<br />€ light industrial district.

<br />A motion was made by Yx. Crider and seconded by Mr. Neubauer that Ordinance
<br />; #2445 be adopted as read. "Yeas" Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, 111acDonald,
<br />? Neubauer, Schwenk.
<br />' Fesolution #z45921 was introduced by Mr. Baker. A Resolution declarir.g intent
<br />to appropriate property for street purposes. It was moved and seconded thst
<br />the statutor"y rule be suspended and the Resolution be read i.mrnediately the second
<br />and third times ar.d pu+,, on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was
<br />? as follows: Baker, Crider, Decker, Kramer, Ma.cDonald, PJeubauer, Schwenk. There-
<br />upon the Resolution was read the second and third times and put on its passage and
<br />? the affirmative vote thereon was as fallows: Baker, Crider, Decker, Kra*ner,
