CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2013— 112 <br /> BY: Mayor Kennedy <br /> AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br /> NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A TWO-YEAR AGREEMENT <br /> WITH A & J DISTRIBUTION IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR <br /> VENDING AND VIDEO GAME MACHINES AT THE NORTH <br /> OLMSTED RECREATION CENTER, AND DECLARING AN <br /> EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS, acting pursuant to the provisions of Section 111.01 of the North <br /> Olmsted Codified Ordinances, the Recreation Commissioner solicited proposals for a <br /> revenue generating contract for the purpose of providing vending and video game <br /> machines at the North Olmsted Recreation Center; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Administration is satisfied with the quality of the services that <br /> have been provided to the North Olmsted Recreation Center by A & J Distribution, a <br /> successor entity to Quality Quick Snacks, the previous contractor and, following <br /> evaluation of their proposal under Section 111.01, has recommended a two-year <br /> Agreement with the Board of Control; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, based upon the recommendation of <br /> the Board of Control, to enter an Agreement with A & J Distribution for a two-year <br /> period from January 24, 2014 through January 25, 2016; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY,AND STATE OF OHIO: <br /> SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a two- <br /> year Agreement with A&J Distribution, for the purpose of providing for Vending and <br /> Video Game Machines at the North Olmsted Recreation Center, for term of January 24, <br /> 2014 through January 25, 2016, in substantially the form and substance as the <br /> Agreement, a copy of which attached hereto as Exhibit A, with only such changes as may <br /> be determined necessary by the Director of Law to comply with law. <br /> SECTION 2: This Council finds determines that all formal actions of this Council <br /> and of any of its committees concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were <br /> taken, and that all deliberations of this Council and of any committees that resulted in those <br /> formal actions were held, in meetings open to the public in compliance with the law. <br />
