CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2013 — 115 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH CINTAS CORPORATION TO PROVIDE UNIFORM RENTAL SERVICES TO THE CITY'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City, per its collective bargaining agreement with the City's Service workers, is required to provide uniforms to employees who so request; and WHEREAS, the Service Director has had requests for uniform service from Service Department employees and, after obtaining quotes from three prospective vendors, recommends that the City enter into a contract with Cintas Corporation ("Cintas"), a Nevada corporation authorized to conduct business in Ohio, to provide such requested service; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the said recommendation, to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cintas to provide said services to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA,AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a contract with Cintas Corporation to provide uniform rental services to the City's Service Department employees. Said contract shall be in the form of the document entitled "Cintas Standard Uniform Rental Service Agreement," marked as Exhibit A, and attached hereto, with only such changes to said contract to be hereinafter made as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreements by the Mayor and the approval of the agreements by the Director of Law. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of this City and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go in effect immediately because the current agreement for uniform rental services for employees, required by a City collective bargaining agreement, is scheduled to terminate January 30, 2014, and notification is required; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
