CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2014 - 6 <br /> By: Mayor Kennedy <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO REQUEST <br /> PROPOSALS FROM FIRMS QUALIFIED TO CONDUCT A <br /> COMPREHENSIVE CURBSIDE LEAF COLLECTION PROGRAM; <br /> FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE FIRM SELECTED IN THE RFP <br /> PROCESS,AFTER APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted for years has provided to its residents a service of <br /> collecting leaves from the curb each autumn; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires to continue the program in 2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to <br /> advertise for and request proposals from qualified firms. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA,AND STATE OF OHIO: <br /> SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to request proposals (RFP) <br /> from firms to conduct a curbside leaf collection, disposal and composting program, all as set <br /> forth in specifications on file in the Department of Public Service; and <br /> SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of the Board <br /> of Control, to enter into an Agreement with the firm selected in the Request for Proposal process. <br /> That such Agreement be in substantially the same form of Agreement as approved by the <br /> Director of Law, with only such changes to be hereinafter made as are not substantially adverse <br /> to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law.
