Council Minutes of 10-01-2013 <br /> Ordinance 2013-84 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br /> Ordinance amending Section 351.20 of the Traffic Code of the City of North Olmsted <br /> `or entitled "Handicapped Parking" in order to establish jurisdiction in the North Olmsted <br /> Mayor's Court for the prosecution of handicapped parking ticket violations, and declaring <br /> an emergency. <br /> Resolution 2013-85 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to request proposals from <br /> personal services to obtain comprehensive municipal liability, automotive liability and <br /> physical damage, public officials errors and omissions, police professional liability, <br /> property, inland marine, boiler and machinery, broad form crime, EDP, umbrella, liquor <br /> liability and other various insurance coverage required by the City of North Olmsted, as a <br /> package, and, following selection by the Board of Control, authorizing the Mayor to enter <br /> into a contract for said insurance package, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br /> Barker made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was <br /> seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker <br /> moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br /> unanimously. Resolution 2013-85 adopted 7-0. <br /> Resolution 2013-86 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br /> Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to request proposals <br /> ("RFPs") from qualified firms to provide professional planning services for the 2015 <br /> Master Plan update and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board <br /> of Control, to enter into a personal services contract with the firm selected in the RFP <br /> process. <br /> Resolution 2013-87 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br /> Resolution directing the Fiscal Officer of Cuyahoga County to pay to the City of North <br /> Olmsted, Ohio, during the year 2014, all money due and owing said city from any <br /> collection source. <br /> Ordinance 2013-88 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance approving an amended and restated sewer service agreement with the County <br /> of Cuyahoga; and declaring an emergency. <br /> Ordinance 2013-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br /> Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br /> expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2013, and <br /> declaring an emergency. <br /> MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br /> Councilman Barker scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday October 8, <br /> 2013, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss 2013-87, 2013-89 and digital storage of Council <br /> documents. The Mayor, Finance Director and Human Resources Director are asked to <br /> attend. The Finance Director, Network Administrator and Clerk of Council are asked to <br /> *gip, attend. <br /> 6 <br />
