CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2014 — 56 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE- ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 131.99 <br />OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, ENTITLED "COMPOSITION AND <br />ORGANIZATION OF THE OFFICE OF MAYOR" IN ORDER TO PROVIDE <br />FOR THE REORGANIZATION OF THE DIVISION OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION. <br />WHEREAS, this Council via Ordinances 2010 -62 and 2012 -47 established and amended <br />the organization of the Division of Parks and Recreation, including Organizational Charts, for <br />the purpose of, among other things, re- organizing and / or re- stating the employee complement <br />within the Division of Parks and Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayor Kennedy, with the advice of Commissioner Drenski, desires to <br />create two (2) additional supervisor positions within the Division of Parks and Recreation, and <br />WHEREAS, a "Program Supervisor" shall be responsible for, among other things: (1) all <br />outdoor and off campus activities including scheduling, programming and staffing; (2) <br />overseeing softball, football, basketball and summer camp; and (3) all facility / park rental and <br />maintenance; and <br />WHEREAS, a "Facility Supervisor" shall manage and train Recreation Personnel in <br />matters concerning, among others, child care, building maintenance, front desk and facility <br />rentals; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to implement the organizational changes <br />recommended by the Mayor and Commissioner Drenski as set forth herein. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Chapter 131.99 "Composition and Organization of the Office of <br />Mayor" which presently reads in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached to this <br />Ordinance and incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein, shall be amended at section <br />131.99(b) and, as amended, shall read in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit B, which is likewise <br />attached to this Ordinance and likewise incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or <br />inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re- codification. <br />
