CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2014 – 70 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH DIANE TOMER FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENGAGING HER TO SELL ADVERTISING SPACE AT THE NORTH OLMSTED RECREATION CENTER. WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Mayor to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with Diane Tomer for the purpose of selling advertising space at the North Olmsted Recreation Center; and WHEREAS, Ms. Tomer shall be compensated on a percentage of total revenue generated from the sale of advertising at the Recreation Center; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into said contract in order to obtain said services for the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Diane Tomer for the purpose of obtaining her services to sell advertising space at the North Olmsted Recreation Center. Said contract shall be substantially in the form of the "Independent Contractor Agreement," marked as Exhibit "A" and attached hereto, with only such changes therein as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement by the Director of Law. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
